New Boomerang Data Recovery complaint posted to Rip Off Report
This complaint against Boomerang Data Recovery is very similar to mine, shame on you Boomerang Data Recovery.
"I had used the Boomerang DRS software (v1.1.2) ONCE in July 2008, and never used it again. I was a little skeptical when I learned of it's phone home requirements for each and every restore, but I wasn't using the software outside of the agreed upon usage terms, so I didn't think much of it.
4 months after the one and only time I had used the software, I started getting emails from BoomDRS telling me that my account was banned for license violations. I contacted support 3 different times, each time explaining that someone elses account had been mixed up with mine, providing specific details that pointed out the mixup within their system.
There was one FAQ that stated that if you inquired about a banned license, it would be reviewed by an actual human, and that you would get a response outlining the reason. I was never given this courtesy, despite pointing out the FAQ article in one of my contact attempts with Support. Sadly, this FAQ article no longer exists on their site."

Yes, Boomeranng data recivery system stole me 199 bocks and i am looking for people to join the complain on court that I am engaging against Adam Yates, the ganster who is at the head of this very very unfair company. Join me on court, the more we will be, the more boomerang will pay. We are already 4. They have to pay for all the money they took of from honest consumers, that have lost data and tried to get it back. Shame on Boomdrs and Adam Yates
ReplyDeleteHey I am having the same exact issues. Those guys suck. I sent several emails with no response. It even says that my license will never expire. To me that means I can use it forever. We should not be forced to upgrade. 1.x works fine on Snow Leopard. Or they should at least provide free updates. Just like Adobe, Apple etc etc. Reminds me of another company that makes Tech Toll Pro. You have to pay for a freaking update.
ReplyDeleteAnother ticked of user.
I too am a victim of Boomerang Theft. three weeks of posting messages to technical support has gotten me nowhere. no live chat, no emails, no nothing. the only thing that has worked is their credit card authorization to steal money from unsuspecting customers. I am ready for a lawsuit.
