How to spot "fake" and "suspicious" reviews by Boomerang Data Recovery

I have come across some possibly fake reviews most likely posted by the makers of Boomerang Data Recovery and VirtualLab. Have a look for yourself and you may come to the same conclusion.

harryrosetto only posted two reviews and they are both different versions of Boomerang Data Recovery

dawsongrey reviewed Boomerang Data Recovery, VirtualLab Data Recovery Software and an older version of VirtualLab Data Recovery all on the same day. Apparently, this guy bought all three versions of the software, yeah right!

What makes this even more suspicious is that Boomerang Data Recovery and VirtualLab Data Recovery are the same product, just rebranded.

now check out Boomerang Data Recovery

Yes folks! They are almost identical

oh and lets not forget Total Recall Data Recovery

Ok, some French dude named ErwanPierre gave 5 stars to both Boomerang Data Recovery and VirtualLab Data Recovery on the same day.

Oh and the review are identical to each other. How could this be!

jontron2000 reviewed both the PC and Mac versions of VirtualLab Data Recovery and Boomerang Data Recovery all on the same day (January 29).

Also, on January 29 like the reviewer above jFordland gave 5 stars to Virtual Data Recovery (PC Version), Boomerang Data Recovery (Mac), Boomerang Data Recovery (PC), Total Recall Data Recovery, Boomerang Data Recovery (PC), VirtualLab Data Recovery (Mac), and "VirtualLab Data Recovery (PC). Yes folks all these reviews were written on January 29th and Boomerang, VirtualLab and Total Recall are all the same software.

  1. Sorry I ever bought this garbage program. 3 days and the program quit working because it cant connect to their server. Wasted $100.00

  2. When I saw my files being deleted by my little brother I thought they will be lost for good. Even though I pressed cancel, a big part of my files were already lost. Thank God I found VirtualLab Data Recovery and used it to get all my data back. I really like this program and will keep it in my PC at least until my kid brother will learn not to delete random folders.
